Dahlias in a Japanese Garden

Leaving expectations at the gate and “being in the now” is probably the way to experience a Japanese garden.

Yuuna, creator of the Japanese Way website says, “The main goal of a Japanese garden is to attract simplicity and calmness into your surroundings”. If the master gardener succeeds at this goal than the guest will experience that simplicity and calmness. As we know a garden can be a place of peace, harmony, healing and renewal.

The Dahlia Festival at Ueno Toshogu Shrine in Ueno Park, Tokyo, Japan is open from mid-September to mid-October. This 5 minute video offers a taste of the Japanese garden.
